What's Rapa das Bestas?

Rapa das Bestas is a festival that involves the cutting of manes on wild horses during dawn in the mountains, featuring a confrontation between man and beast. The event has origins in the 15th century and since then has grown to attract visitors due to the nature of the event, and the inclusion of food, music, and wine during the nighttime. This event is held every year during the first week of July, in a town known as Sabucedo, in the region of Galicia, Spain.
