The majority of Norway’s noteworthy festivals appear to be held in the winter, which are worth attending if already in the area, and in the summer, which are the most tourist-oriented. Norway’s festivals fall into two main categories, one that centers itself on celebrating historical or folkloric events, and the other is based around music. Visitors will find that the country is filled with culture and history, and the events with traditional music and dance. The music scene is very big as the country hosts more than 100 music festivals during the months of June and July.
